The session
Live over Google Meet. Most modification disputes resolve well inside the 3 hours; if you need more, additional hours are $300 per hour.

Whatever you agree to gets documented immediately. divvi generates the Stipulated Modification and proposed Order — designed for filing, same day.

Questions
Do I have to try divviResolve first?
No — you can book a mediator directly. Many people start with divviResolve anyway: it is included with your modification at no separate cost, it settles a good share of modification disputes on its own, and if you do end up booking a mediator they pick up from your Resolve results.
Why is this different from divviMediate for divorce?
Scope and price. A contested modification is $1,500 total, $750 per person, split between both parties, and it includes mediation, a pre-mediation conflict assessment, the paperwork and signing. The allowance is 3 hours, where divorce mediation is a package with no hour count. The hours are yours to spend across as many meetings as you need, not one sitting.
What happens if we run past 3 hours?
Additional hours are $300 per hour. The live rate can be adjusted per case. Most modification sessions — narrower in scope than a full divorce — finish well inside the included time.
What are divvi's mediators qualified to do?
Every mediator in the divvi network has completed domestic mediation training and mediates Utah family law matters. We verify each mediator's qualifications individually before they join the network, and we'll tell you who you're working with before your session.
What if we still can't agree after the session?
You move to a contested hearing. divvi can connect you with a Utah family law attorney for the remaining disputed terms.
