Messaging

Text messages from divvi

divvi is operated by Divvi Holdings LLC.

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-08-21 · Utah, USA

What the program is

divvi sends text messages to clients with an active divorce case about their own case: updates from the case manager working the file, questions about information the client has already given us, and appointment reminders. Clients reply in the same thread and their case manager answers.

This is a customer care program. divvi does not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How you opt in

Texting is off unless you turn it on. Nobody is enrolled by signing up, by calling us, or by asking a question — consent is always a separate, deliberate action taken by the person who will receive the messages.

There is one place it happens: the case file inside your own account. Once you have an open case and a case manager assigned, your case file at divviutah.com/dashboard/divvi-file shows an unticked checkbox beneath your phone number.

Above is the actual control, rendered from the same code your case file uses — not a picture or a retyping of it. It is inert here: you cannot turn texts on from this page, and nothing on this page is stored. The working checkbox appears in your own case file once you have an open case and a case manager.

You tick it; we store the consent against your own party record with the date and time it was given. Nothing is sent to anyone whose record does not carry that consent — no case, no case manager, and no member of staff can turn it on for you, because a consent someone else can grant is not consent. Unticking the box withdraws it and clears the timestamp.

The box is never pre-ticked, and ticking it is not a condition of using divvi, of opening a case, or of buying anything from us.

That control sits behind a sign-in, because it belongs to one identified client and their case. This page is the public description of it: what the checkbox says word for word, what the program sends, and how to stop it.

Other texting checkboxes on divviutah.com

Three forms on the public site also ask about texting. None of them enrol anyone in the case-update program described on this page — they are permission to reply to the request you just sent, they go out from a different number, and consent given on one is never carried over to the other. They are listed here so the picture is complete.

The contact form on the front page

At www.divviutah.com, open to anyone with no account and no purchase, beneath the name, email, phone and message fields:

Text me about my request. divvi can reply by text at the number above and follow up about what you asked for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

The request form on the services page

The same checkbox, with the same wording, appears in the form that opens from any “request” button on divviutah.com/services.

The booking form

At divviutah.com/schedule, a checkbox appears once a phone number has been entered — a number is how we reach you about the booking, and texting you is a separate thing to agree to. It reads:

Text me reminders about this appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP any time to turn texts off — you’ll still get email reminders.

On all three, the box is never pre-ticked, submitting the form without ticking it works exactly the same way, and no consent is recorded at all unless the box was ticked and a phone number was given.

What the messages look like

Real examples of what the program sends:

Hi Jordan — this is Sara, your divvi case manager. Your petition is ready for signature. You can review it in your portal whenever you have a few minutes.
Quick question on your financial declaration: the income figure doesn’t match your last pay stub. Can you confirm which is current? Reply STOP to opt out.
Reminder: your mediation session is tomorrow at 2:00pm. Reply STOP to opt out.

Stopping the messages

Reply STOP to any message and the texts end immediately. We also honour STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT. Reply START, UNSTOP or YES to turn them back on, or re-tick the box in your case file.

Stopping texts stops texts and nothing else. Your case, your documents, and the messages in your divvi portal are unaffected — everything a text would have told you is still there.

Help, frequency and cost

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or write to cases@divviutah.com.

Message frequency varies with activity on your case — there is no fixed schedule, because we only text when something has actually happened. Message and data rates may apply, and are set by your mobile carrier, not by divvi. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information divvi shares; this information is not shared with any third party.
