I'm Utah born and raised, and I went through the court system here myself. What stayed with me wasn't the hard decisions — it was how much of the process had nothing to do with them. The paperwork. The waiting. Never being certain you'd done it right until someone told you that you hadn't. Nobody should have to spend thousands of dollars, or hand their family's future to a stranger, to get through something they had already agreed on. So we built the thing I wanted when I was in it: every step laid out in plain language, the documents done properly the first time, and a real person to call when it stops making sense. Divorce will never be easy. Getting through it shouldn't be the hard part.

Having gone through divorce myself, I understand the toll it can take — mentally, financially, and on an entire family. Divorce is already hard. The process of getting through it shouldn't make it harder. I wanted to help create something that could ease some of that burden: a place where people aren't left feeling confused, overwhelmed, or strung along trying to figure out what comes next. That's what I hope divvi can be — a simpler, clearer way to navigate divorce, with the tools, guidance, and support to help people understand their options and keep moving forward. We can't make divorce easy. But we can make the process easier.
