divvi is a document preparation service. We help you fill out and organize legal documents. We do not provide legal advice, represent you in court, or create an attorney-client relationship. If you need legal advice, please consult a licensed Utah attorney.
By creating a divvi account or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use divvi.
You must be at least 18 years of age and a party to a Utah divorce or modification proceeding to use divvi. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
divvi provides document preparation services only. Nothing on divvi constitutes legal advice or the practice of law. Your use of divvi does not create an attorney-client relationship. divvi employees and contractors are not your attorneys. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed Utah attorney for legal advice specific to your situation.
The core divorce document intake is provided free of charge. Optional paid services (including mediator sessions, financial advisor consultations, attorney document review, CMA/home valuation, and QDRO preparation) are available at posted prices. Paid services are subject to separate agreements.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information you provide. divvi generates documents based on your inputs. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents before signing or filing them with any court.
divvi prepares documents for self-represented parties. We do not file documents on your behalf, represent you in court, or provide legal strategy. Court acceptance of any document is not guaranteed.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DIVVI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL DIVVI'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DIVVI IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be submitted to non-binding mediation in Salt Lake County, Utah. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Salt Lake County, Utah. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, attempt to use divvi for fraudulent purposes, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
