Is this mediation?
No. Mediation is a live session with a qualified human mediator in the room with both of you. divviResolve is structured negotiation you each do privately, on your own schedule, assisted by AI that knows Utah's statutes. It costs a fifth of what a mediation does — but a mediator is a person, and Resolve is not pretending to be one.
What does it cost, and what if it doesn't work?
$500 flat. If you don't reach agreement and you go on to book a live divviMediate session, the $500 comes off that price in full — so trying Resolve first costs you nothing but time. Anything you did settle still carries into your paperwork either way.
Does my spouse have to use divvi too?
Yes. Resolve needs both sides to answer for it to propose anything workable — a negotiation with one participant is just a form. divvi sends your spouse an invite to start their side.
Does the AI decide who's right?
No. It proposes options grounded in Utah law and how comparable cases resolve, and both of you choose. Nothing is settled unless you both pick it. A term neither of you accepts stays on the open list.
When is Resolve the wrong tool?
If there has been abuse, if you're afraid of your spouse, if there's an active protective order, or if one of you is hiding money — negotiation is not the right process and we'll say so. Talk to a lawyer first. If your spouse simply won't participate at all, Resolve has nothing to work with either.
