Courts can deviate from the guideline amount if the standard would be unjust or inappropriate. Any deviation must be in writing with findings of fact.
Utah uses the income-shares model (Utah Code § 81-6-304). Both parents' gross monthly incomes are combined, a base support amount is read from the state guideline table for the number of children, and that amount is divided between the parents in proportion to their incomes and the parenting-time schedule.

Meet both and the joint physical custody worksheet applies, which typically lowers the higher earner's payment.
Yes. You can ask the court to recalculate support when there is a substantial change in circumstances, and you can generally request a review roughly every three years even without a major change.
Support continues until the child turns 18 or graduates from high school during their normal expected graduation year, whichever is later. It can extend for a child with a disability.
