divvi Review Hour Service Terms

1. What you are buying

One hour of paid time with divvi, scheduled at a time you choose, to go through the information you have already entered and lay out the options your situation actually has — what a sale of your home would leave each of you, whether either of you could refinance and buy the other out, what each route costs, and what happens next.

You are buying time and information. You are not buying a decision, a recommendation, or a prediction of what a court will do.

2. What this is NOT

This is not mediation. A mediation is a facilitated negotiation between two people who disagree, conducted by a neutral third party under Utah's mediation confidentiality rules. A review hour is none of those things. You do not need to disagree with anyone to book one, no mediator is assigned, and the protections and obligations of the Agreement to Mediate (DIVVI-MEDIATE-001) do not apply.

This is not legal advice, and divvi is not a law firm. divvi does not represent you, cannot tell you what legal position to take, cannot predict what a judge will decide, and cannot tell you whether an agreement is fair to you. Those are questions for a licensed Utah attorney, and nothing said in a review hour substitutes for asking one.

This is not financial, tax, mortgage or real-estate advice. Figures discussed are estimates built from what you have entered and from published national averages. Whether a lender will approve you, what rate you would actually be offered, what a home will actually sell for, and what any of it does to your taxes are decisions and determinations made by other people.

No confidentiality privilege attaches. Unlike a mediation, a review hour carries no statutory confidentiality. divvi keeps your information under its Privacy Policy, and that is a different thing from a legal privilege.

3. What divvi will do

• Read the information already on your case before the session, so the hour is spent deciding rather than explaining.
• Lay out the options your numbers support, side by side, with the figures behind each one and what divvi does not know.
• Say plainly where a question belongs to somebody else — an attorney, a lender, a tax professional — rather than answering it.
• Give you, at the end, what the next steps are and whether any of them cost money.

4. What divvi will not do

• Tell you which option to choose.
• Tell you whether a proposed settlement is fair or advisable.
• Predict an outcome, a timeline the court controls, or a sale price.
• Contact, advise or negotiate with your spouse on your behalf.

5. The hour, and what happens to it

• An hour is bought individually. It is not a package and there is no minimum.
• Buying and booking are separate steps: divvi does not hold a time until the hour is paid for.
• An hour does not expire.
• You may buy additional hours at the same price whenever you want more time.
• If you cancel with reasonable notice the hour returns to your balance. An hour used is an hour spent, whether or not the session reached a conclusion.

6. Refunds

Refunds follow divvi's Refund Policy. An hour you have bought and not yet used is refundable; an hour already spent is not.

7. Both spouses

A review hour is bought by, and belongs to, the case. Where both spouses have joined a case, either may book it and both may attend. divvi does not take a side in the session and does not advise either of you separately — if the two of you want different things and want help closing that gap, mediation is the product for that, and it is a different agreement.
