Version 1.3 · Effective 2026-10-19 · Utah, USA
This agreement applies to the product named above and is read together with the Terms of Service. Where the two differ, this agreement governs this product. divvi is a document preparation service, not a law firm.
Supersedes: version 1.2 (2026-10-19). Version 1.1 effective 2026-10-19.
Both packages are on sale; the six-hour package and the mediation + filing bundle are no longer sold for divorce.
divvi Mediate — $3,000.
Either of you may pay the whole package, or it may be split evenly between you ($1,500 each).
divvi Mediate Pro — $5,000 (or $2,500 each). Everything in divvi Mediate, plus:
DIVVI-CDFA-001).DIVVI-FILE-001). Your case manager prepares your initial filing packet and sends it to you, and you file it with the court yourself. You also send the final pleadings yourself. divvi does not file, submit, or transmit anything to a court.divvi does not cap the number of mediation hours in either package. Hours are still recorded, and both of you can see every session that has been held. A mediator may conclude that mediation is no longer productive — for example, because one of you has stopped participating, or because a safety concern makes mediation inappropriate — and end it. Ending mediation does not entitle either of you to a refund of hours not used.
Payment comes after your intake and before divvi Resolve opens. The package may be paid by one of you, or split evenly between you; when it is split, divvi Resolve opens once either of you has paid, and sessions can be booked once the whole package is paid.
Refunds. The package fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome and regardless of whether you are satisfied with it. Mediation can end without an agreement; that is a normal outcome and does not entitle either of you to a refund.
Cancelling a session. Cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before a booked session and nothing is lost. Cancel inside 24 hours, or do not show up, and the session is recorded as held; your mediator is paid for time that was held for you.
divvi is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The mediator is neutral and represents neither of you. On divvi Mediate, you file your own documents and remain the filer of record. On divvi Mediate Pro: Your case manager prepares your initial filing packet and sends it to you, and you file it with the court yourself. You also send the final pleadings yourself. divvi does not file, submit, or transmit anything to a court. Court filing fees are separate and paid to the court.
divvi suggests Pro for couples with about $500,000 or more in marital assets, or an estate where the financial tradeoffs are not obvious — a home, retirement accounts, a business, investments, significant debt. This is a suggestion only; either package may be chosen by anyone.
These three changes were made on 2026-10-05:
DIVVI-FILE-001 (it read "a
one-on-one filing consultation"): the initial filings go to the court through
the case manager, and the couple sends the final pleadings themselves. The Pro signing text was re-versioned (pkg-pro-1.1 for the filing paragraph,
then pkg-pro-1.2 for the CDFA hours and the parenting plan); Basic's
signing text (pkg-1.0) never named the parenting plan and is unchanged.
Pro filing (§1, §4). divvi no longer files any document for a Pro couple. Your case manager prepares your court packet and sends it to you. You file it with the court yourself by email, in person, or by mail. The Pro signing text was re-versioned to pkg-pro-1.6.
Refunds (§3). The §3 refund paragraph now reads:
The package fee is fully refundable until your first session is held — your first session with your mediator or, on divvi Mediate Pro, with your Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, whichever comes first. Everything before that, including divvi Resolve, is covered by the refund. If the fee was split between you, each of you is refunded what you paid. A session cancelled inside 24 hours, or missed, counts as held. Once your first session has been held, the fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.
The signing text was re-versioned: Basic pkg-1.1, Pro pkg-pro-1.3.
Version 1.2. Publishes the 2026-10-17 filing rule as this document's
version. Pro filing (§1 and §4) stays as written that day: your case manager
prepares your court packet and sends it to you, and you file it with the court
yourself by email, in person, or by mail. This supersedes version 1.1, which
left those sentences unchanged. The Pro signing text remains pkg-pro-1.6.
No additional re-accept gate was added.
Version 1.3. Pro filing (§1 and §4): Your case manager prepares your initial filing packet and sends it to you, and you file it with the court yourself. You also send the final pleadings yourself. divvi does not file, submit, or transmit anything to a court. This supersedes version 1.2. The Pro signing text is pkg-pro-1.7. A couple who both signed pkg-pro-1.5 or pkg-pro-1.6 may still start a session or CDFA hour already booked. New bookings require pkg-pro-1.7. The re-sign notice applies to both. No email or SMS is sent.
