Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-16 · Utah, USA
This agreement applies to the product named above and is read together with the Terms of Service. Where the two differ, this agreement governs this product. divvi is a document preparation service, not a law firm.
These terms summarise the mediation agreement the parties sign.
Your mediator is a neutral third party who represents neither of you and decides nothing. Taking part is voluntary, and either of you may withdraw at any time. Nothing the mediator says is legal advice, and divvi is not a law firm.
Mediation communications are confidential, subject to the exceptions Utah law provides. Recording or transcribing the session, including with an AI note-taker, is prohibited.
One modification mediation session of up to three hours with a qualified Utah mediator, held by video, and the modification paperwork if you reach terms.
The party who asked for the modification pays the full fee. It is charged only after the other party has agreed to mediate. The other party pays nothing to divvi for this mediation. Paying gives the payer no greater say, and says nothing about how costs are divided in any agreed order.
Refundable to the party who paid until the session is held. A session cancelled inside 24 hours, or missed, counts as held. After that the fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome.
Either party may sign from the secure link divvi emailed to them, without an account. The typed name, the email address the link was sent to, and the time and network address of the signature are recorded as the signature.
If you reach terms you choose together between a signed Memorandum of Understanding (no court filing) and court-filed modification documents. You send any filing yourselves and remain the filer of record.
