Version 1.1 · Effective 2026-10-19 · Utah, USA
This agreement applies to the product named above and is read together with the Terms of Service. Where the two differ, this agreement governs this product. divvi is a document preparation service, not a law firm.
These terms govern the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst hours included with divvi Mediate Pro.
The Certified Divorce Financial Analyst is an independent professional, not a divvi employee. divvi pays for the analyst's time included in your package and for any additional time the analyst decides your case needs; you are not billed for the analyst's time.
The analyst works for both of you, before mediation, in the same way the mediator does. The analyst does not represent either of you, does not advocate for either of you, and does not decide anything.
The analyst reviews the financial information you have given divvi, meets with you, and helps you understand your marital estate and the financial consequences of the decisions you are considering — for example, the tax consequences of dividing or selling an asset, or whether one of you can afford to keep the home.
The analyst does not give legal advice, does not prepare court documents, and does not tell either of you what to agree to.
With both of your agreement, given when you choose Pro, the analyst sees the financial information both of you have entered on your case: income, assets, debts, the home, retirement accounts, any business, monthly expenses, the figures each of you reported and where they differ, and the positions you each set out in divvi Resolve on financial issues.
The analyst records findings, questions and considerations for your mediator. Your mediator sees all of them. The analyst may choose to share a note with both of you; a note that is not shared is seen only by the mediator and divvi staff. A note is the analyst's own view. It is never written into your agreement or your court documents; only what the two of you agree in mediation becomes a term.
If either of you suspects hidden assets, if either of you will not disclose financial information, or if the case needs forensic accounting, this review is not a substitute. divvi will tell you so and suggest you consult an attorney or a forensic accountant.
